DaimlerChrysler – MOPAR
Ellicott Group was commissioned by DaimlerChrysler's MOPAR Division to assist in the development of an enterprise model that consolidates quality, environmental, and business improvement requirements into one integrated system known as the MOPAR Business Operating System(MBOS). We provided consulting, internal assessment, and training services. Our consultants performed internal assessments at headquarters and selected parts-distribution centers (PDCs) across North America. These assessments were conducted to comply with ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001. We assisted with the development of training modules for supporting the implementation and maintenance of MBOS at the PDCs. We also piloted several models to reduce redundant or unnecessary documentation.
Life Insurance Company
Over a four-month period, we performed a risk assessment for the deployment of a complex workflow improvement project, implementing new technology and business process improvements. Ellicott Group developed test strategies to reduce risk during the system testing and go-live stages of the project.
Hotel Furniture Sellout, Inc.
We worked with this client over a three-year period to create a successful small business turnaround involving process improvements, point-of-sale IT deployment, development of an inventory management system, installation of LAN and desktop IT, marketing support and workshop facilitation.
In a month-long project, we advised this medium-sized medical device company on how to map their enterprise processes as a step in their business excellence program. We provided training assistance and facilitated workshops with executive management and key staff. Most of the mapping work was performed via ProcessMap, and information was gathered from key organization members in short meetings to minimize disruption of business. The finished product included as-is and as-proposed process maps.
